From the café shelves

The upper shelf displays iLORA Café mugs; the middle shelf displays iLORA Academy mugs. The iLORA Academy Cooler remains below beside the plant.

A future merchandise service could let a visitor choose a mug or cooler and review its price, size, materials and shipping options before purchase.

Café and merchandise sales are proposed revenue avenues for the wider ecosystem. Products, fulfillment, and any allocation to the Corporation or Academy remain to be defined.

Proposed lesson · Interface concept

Design for everyday access.

A sample lesson plan: notice a barrier, compare ideas, and explain a useful response.

  1. Observe. Describe one everyday task and the obstacle a person encounters.
  2. Explore. Sketch two approaches and consider different access needs.
  3. Evaluate. Explain what you would test and how you would listen to feedback.

How this serves the mission

A shorter path from inspiration to a meal.

A dish in a video, article, or website can spark interest without telling you where to find it. Crave is envisioned as a user-initiated connection between that moment, useful food information, and a verified provider. The aim is to keep the experience in context while making choices and costs understandable.

The problem

Why this matters.

Food can be easy to discover in online content but difficult to connect to an identifiable meal, a nearby provider, and a clear ordering choice.

Who is affected

People at the center.

Students, families, café visitors, people who benefit from accessible food discovery, and potential food providers.

The proposed response

Explore a user-controlled live-focus interface connecting selected food content to confirmed dish information and verified provider options.

A suitable future service could reduce the steps between discovering a dish and deciding where and how to obtain it, while keeping confirmation with the user.

Focus on the food

The proposed experience begins when you deliberately select a meal in a webpage, video, or other supported content. A future interface could use the selected image and available context to suggest a dish or useful search terms, then offer a description for you to review. It would not silently read unrelated browsing activity.

Connect discovery with a place

The next step would identify participating providers and distinguish an exact menu item from a similar dish. Location would be entered or shared with permission. Provider identity, location, menu accuracy, operating status, and supported integrations would need verification; universal recognition or compatibility with every website is not promised.

Review before ordering

A future ordering handoff would show the actual provider, current availability, price, fees, food and allergen information supplied by the provider, and collection or delivery options before confirmation. A photograph alone cannot establish ingredients or dietary suitability. No order should be created merely by selecting a picture.

Nutrition Facts and informed choices

Selecting a meal would open its description, serving size, calories, complete ingredients, allergen information, and available options. Nutrition must reflect the provider’s verified recipe and the selected portion, including any changes or sides. The demonstration reserves these fields but does not invent values from the food photograph.

Meal plans, campus and city connections

Future meal plans could connect eligible dishes and participating providers to defined allowances and ordering permissions. Families could review the food information relevant to a learner’s choices. Campus delivery, city delivery and provider pickup are proposed alternatives, with coverage, charges, timing and any required approvals confirmed before ordering. No school agreement, citywide network or meal-plan program is established.

Try the interaction today

The demonstration on this page places a clickable food tile beside an illustrative iLORA Academy lesson plan and uses one original food illustration with explanatory sample states. You can select the meal and preview the discovery-to-provider flow. It does not recognize content on other websites, locate restaurants, accept payments, or place orders.

Available today

What this page offers.

The local demonstration shows a meal description, Nutrition Facts and price fields, proposed sizes, drink and snack selections, sample preferences, proposed delivery choices, and meal-plan considerations. Verified nutrition, live menus, food recognition, provider matching, meal plans, ordering, delivery and payments are not connected.
